2005 , 2006 volvo s60?
im lookin to invest in a used 2005 or 2006 volvo s60 because i don't have enough credit to get a new car raise up my credit with the used car and invest in new car down the road i found a 2005 and 2006 s60 with 60k and 70k miles in them i know they're alot of miles to take in but i heard it's ok with volvos and they'll still ride nicely is that true.. can anyone give me some feedback on the info i've given...thanks! p.s. if i can pay it off in 2-3 years.. then i'll probably just keep the car as long as it doesn't just die and become a crap car on me

60 and 70k is nothing for a Volvo that's been properly maintained. Good years too. Just keep up with maintenance and it won't become crap or die on you. Volvo's are known for safety, reliability and durability. For a few years, they weren't so good in terms of reliability but that has changed. They're more expensive to maintain than your average American car, but again, a Volvo is probably better. Good luck!

What cars should I look at?
I just sold my 07 Dodge Magnum SRT-8. I'm looking for something to replace it, probably in October. I like the imports, but I don't want anything that is too expensive to maintain and drive. Here are the requirements that I would like to meet: -Good in snow (AWD preferably or FWD) -Good gas mileage (minimum 18 city/26 hwy) -Attractive styling -Decent power (Magnum was 0-60 in 5.0, but I would take 0-60 in up to 7.0-7.5) -4 door with some cargo room -Under $15k- around 12k is ideal -Affordable without having over 60k miles -Low maintenance/operating costs (no premium gas, no required synthetics) -Prefer automatic transmission A few I've looked at are: 2006-07 Volvo S60 Type R's - too low gas mileage, premium Older WRX's - Overpriced for age/mileage Cobalt SS Turbo - too small in coupe, too ugly in sedan Any Mercedes, BMW, Audi - Premium, high maintenance costs Cars I liked: Chevy Malibu LTZ - Interior is kinda cheap, but otherwise very nice Chevy Impala LTZ - Nice car, but it's about time for a new model to come out (price drop maybe?) 03+ Saab 9-3 Aeros - Look nice on paper, but haven't test drove yet Dodge Caliber SRT-4 - Nice styling, but uses premium (but gets 19/27), manual only Anybody have any suggestions for me to look at?

Additional Details Which will help in the long run, and be the best for a junior in HS? (note that This will be for a HS junior, who has a job, a good surplus of money to spend for maintenance/gas. Parents will pay insurance. as well as any repairs needed. ) BTW- these cars are all low mileaged (40-60k) miles. 18 hours ago with some kind of warranty 18 hours ago

The 2004 Volvo S60 is rated as a reliable car at 14-16k by the Consumer Reports 2009 buying guide. I have relied on Consumer Report recommendations in the past and have always been satisfied.
